Myrtha Pools is proud to supply Northside ISD’s Swim Center in San Antonio with its second 50-meter installation! The most recent project is part of the renovation of the school district’s indoor facility, which was originally built in 2007. The new 50-meter x 25-yard competition & training pool provides the swim center with an indoor option for meets during inclement weather, as well as accommodate the district’s more than 100,000 students and its high school aquatic teams. This indoor pool was replaced after only 11 years from a failed galvanized steel pool!

 

The pool is designed with an ideal 7ft depth for competitive swimmers, but also includes a 4ft section in the middle of the long course pool for other programming uses such as Learn to Swim & water aerobics.

 

Northside’s aquatic center is also home to the premier 50-meter x 25-yard outdoor Myrtha pool, which has been used for the US National Swimming Championships.  It will also host the 50th USA Masters Swimming National Championships in April 2020.
