February 2016. … Some of the strongest women’s water polo teams in the world competed in Texas during the Women's Water Polo World League Intercontinental Preliminary Tournament.
For the occasion, Myrtha Pools once again kept high the name of Made in Italy in the field of international sporting events.The Myrtha pools involved in this important sporting event were two, both built in the new Westside Aquatic Center of Lewisville.
The water polo competitions took place in the bigger one, equipped with two movable bulkheads. The 25yd pool, fitted with lane markings on the floor and mosaic tile markings on the walls, was reserved for athletic warm-up stages.
For the six women’s teams, the stakes were high: the best teams took part to the Super Final di World League (June, 2016, in Shanghai).The event ended on February 22, with a day full of play-off to determine final placement. The USA team won the first place, with a score of 6-5 against Australia.
